The word "Mastiff" derives from the Latin word: massivus, meaning massive.         

Stout Dogue de Bordeaux, not a large kennel, just small homebase dogue fanciers, located in south Florida, near the Ft.Lauderdale/Hollywood Internationl Airport(FLL). Die hard advocate on true Authentic Bordeaux head type, molosser size, & overall structure of the F.C.I(oldest dog breed registry) standard. We are not mass producing breeders, just a few litters a year. Many long lived dogues in our dogs pedigrees, regular health checkups, Genetic Health guarantee in writing!

This breed of dog is most known for it's massive head and wrinkle, with a certain look, called the Bordeaux type. An ancient fighting breed from France. Almost extincted after World War II. Now a more family oriented dog, with a balanced temperment when properly bred and raised. The diagram from book by the rescuer of the breed Raymond Triquet clearly shows the type and stop the ddb should have, notice the lips meet in the front and top lip falls over on the sides.

"Bottom line, to me it should look like Dogue de Bordeaux" We are not trying to create a new looking DDB, but follow the original bordeaux type, true to the standards of the French Club. For great info get the book by one of the rescuers of the breed Raymond Triquet, "The Saga of the Dogue de Bordeaux". Many ancestors of our dogs, are in this book.

 Below our up & coming girls!!! Short wide muzzles, thick bone, plenty of true bordeaux head type....

The extremely wide and big headed Clovis will be line bred to a few of the girls above. Next year.... So if your looking for thick bone and huge correct heads we got it!
